FAQ’s

  • Ideally a bag your child can leave at Pre-School with a change of underwear (or nappies and wipes) and clothes in case of accidents/spillages/falling in mud and puddles!

Also a pair of indoor shoes / plimsolls to change into. We do go outside in all weathers so whilst shoes and trainers are fine in dry weather, wellies are needed for the field and woods when wet underfoot.

If your child is staying for lunch they will require a packed lunch (we can provide water to drink).

  • We encourage ‘healthy eating’ where possible with a balance of foods. Typically the children will bring sandwiches/ a wrap, some fruit and a yoghurt.

  • We will administer medicines prescribed by a doctor or pharmacist and will require you to complete a medication form to allow this.

  • If there is availability for a ‘one off’, yes. Notice will be required to increase, decrease or swap regular sessions.

  • This is not a requirement.

  • We ask that parents provide nappies and wipes if required.

  • We don’t have a designated place for children to sleep but if they feel tired they can lie down on the sofa or cushions in the ‘quiet corner’ with a blanket and sleep.

  • We ask that parents apply sun cream before drop off and leave some with us to ‘top up’ during the day.

  • Neither drink nor snack are required. We provide a snack both morning and afternoon (eg toast, cracker and cheese, breadsticks) with a choice of milk or water to drink and children have free access to water throughout the day.

  • We discourage this unless it is felt necessary to help your child feel secure initially or we can keep it in their bag ‘in case’.

  • Morning session 9am - 12pm (doors open at 8.50am).

    Lunch 12pm - 12.30pm

    Afternoon session 12.30pm - 3.30pm.

  • Our team members are highly experienced and over time the Pre-School has enjoyed excellent staff retention.

We have the facility to allow the freedom of the outdoors with access to the playing fields and surrounding woodlands.

  • Yes. We are based in the pavilion, adjacent to the playground, where there is free parking available.

  • We accept children from 2 years old.

  • We ask for a voluntary £10 donation per term to go towards snacks.

We also organise several fundraising activities throughout the year. The best way to keep updated with all our activities is by Liking our Facebook page.
